Our Kayak Adventure

We had a great time this afternoon kayaking down the Willamette River. Katie and I were in one kayak and Daniel and Mark in the other. Both boats were 'packin heat', which means we were carrying water guns. About midway into our ride the boys fired a warning shot over the bow of our kayak. Katie returned their warning shot with one of her own, which didn't quite make it over the boat. The battle began and before long we were all drenched and laughing hysterically while trying to keep the boats upright! We finally had to declare a truce. We navigated through a couple of class 1 rapids, which basically means we said, "Wheeeee" as we went through them. All and all...a glorious day!
